Q&A with the Hosts

  • Favorite season as a fan? (not counting 2016 Cubs)
    • “2010 Blackhawks. I’ll always remember staying up late in my room to catch the end of all the OT games and waiting on the edge of my seat to see if Kane’s Game 6 winner was in.”
  • Most devastating sports memory?
    • “2015 NLCS. Cubs lost in 5, I had tickets to Game 6. I haven’t had another chance to see playoff baseball live since. “
  •  Give us a fun fact.
    •  “I went to college for automotive technology, so I know how to work on cars.”

Jordan DuPont

  • Favorite season as a fan? (not counting 2016 Cubs)
    • “2015 Blackhawks. Lost so much sleep to those triple-OT games. That run cemented Duncan Keith as my favorite Blackhawk of all time.”
  • Most devastating sports memory?
    • “Game 6, 2003 NLCS. I was six years old and my mom had to put me to bed crying before the 8th was over. “
  •  Give us a fun fact.
    •  “I’ve been playing guitar for over 14 years. If you’re looking to start a 80’s thrash metal cover band, hit me up.”

Nick DiCola

  • Favorite season as a fan? (not counting 2016 Cubs)
    • “2006 Bears, just a ton of nostalgia for that team. The excitement of watching Devin Hester as a returner with that defense are memories that I will always cherish. Even as a dumb kid, I knew they had no chance in the Super Bowl, but that didn’t take away from how hyped I got when Hester returned that opening kickoff for a touchdown. “
  • Most devastating sports memory?
    • “Double. Doink.”
  •  Give us a fun fact.
    •  “As a pretty big cinephile, my favorite movies are the original films of the Lord of the Rings Trilogy. I’d be more than happy to set up an all-day marathon for the extended editions. “

Andrew Freeman

  • Favorite season as a fan? (not counting 2016 Cubs)
    •  “2010-11 Bulls. Whenever I went to see my dad and turned on the TV, Derrick Rose was just putting up some insane game. Basketball has never been the same for me since.”
  • Most devastating sports memory?
    • “Double Doink. Part of me died that day.  Another soldier knocked on my door, said “sorry, Mullin,” and left. I was speechless and cried all night. Not even ashamed.”
  • Give us a fun fact.
    • “I almost accidentally threw a grenade at the wall during training. They tell you to shot-put it and not throw it like a baseball player so in typical Teige fashion I decided to harness my inner Bo Jackson. Sergeant grabbed me and said “are you trying to kill us?” I’ve never felt a concussive blast in my stomach as much as I did that day.”
